BAM PC Welcomes Madeleine Sheahan

BAM PC Welcomes Madeleine Sheahan

BAM PC is proud to announce that Madeleine R. Sheahan has joined the firm as a law clerk effective August 23, 2018.

Madeleine earned her B.A. in Spanish Languages and Literatures from CSU, graduating Cum Laude, while also earning her B.S. in Business Administration, also Cum Laude.

Madeleine earned three scholarships from legal organizations to attend the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where she graduated in the top 15 percent of her class in May 2018. At DU Law, she was president of the National Women’s Law Organization and Treasurer of the Spanish Speaking Law Association. Madeleine also received the Advocate’s Cup 2017 for the Best Advocate, reflecting her significant trial skills. She was a National Ethics Trial Competition Finalist, and a member of the National Trial Team. While at DU Law, Madeleine also received the Westminster Law Library Certificate in Legal Research and a LexisNexis Professional Research Certificate. Madeleine’s skills in trial presentation, legal research, and ethics set her up for a brilliant legal career, and BAM is thrilled to have her start that career amongst its ranks.

Madeleine’s skills have been further developed outside the classroom. Over the past five years, Madeleine has interned and volunteered for a variety of non-profits, legal organizations and Denver area law firms. In Spring of 2017, Madeleine worked as a judicial extern for U.S. District Court Magistrate Kristen L. Mix. Prior to joining BAM, she worked as a summer associate for a Greenwood Village law firm, where she assisted with litigation and real estate matters.

Madeleine spends her time outside of the courtroom enjoying Cross Fit, sailing, college football, Broadway musicals, and participating as a Judge Arguello “Law School Yes We Can” mentor.

In October, 2018 Madeleine learned that she had passed the Colorado bar exam, for which she had sat in May.  She will be admitted to the bar in November, at which time she will become an associate at BAM.

Congratulations, Madeleine and welcome from everyone at BAM!
